Safety

Think and act in a safe manner. Always disconnect power and use a lockout before you work on the E-coat system, or any of the related subsystems. Observe any confined space conditions. Use the appropriate safety equipment and clothing for the task. Please carefully read all the instructions listed below to familiarize yourself with the project before attempting to perform any of the work.

Required Materials

  • S-80 PVC Primer
  • S-80 PVC Cement

Required Tools

  • None

Step 1

Glue the four pieces of pipe that are approximately 27½" long into the elbows located on the shell. When putting the tubing and the wire through the pipe and elbows, be sure that the tubing does not kink.

Step 2

After completing step 1, the remaining elbows are ready to be glued. Glue the elbows to the 27½" pipe so that they are at a 90o position pointing up.

Step 3

There are four pieces of pipe that are approximately 60" long. Two pieces will have overflow nozzles glued to the side that has the tubing and electrical. The nozzle should point towards the wall. The shell should slope up at 1% - 2% (electrical and tubing side).

HINT: To avoid air pockets when gluing the joints, rotate the pipe ¼ turn.
