Safety

Think and act in a safe manner. Always disconnect power and use a lockout before you work on the E-coat system, or any of the related subsystems. Observe any confined space conditions. Use the appropriate safety equipment and clothing for the task. Please carefully read all the instructions listed below to familiarize yourself with the project before attempting to perform any of the work.

General

The purpose of the UFSc supplied clamp is to mount and hold the TECTRON™ Membrane Electrode (ME) Cell to the side of the paint tank. UFSc provides metal (galvanized and stainless) and plastic clamps in a number of sizes depending on the type of TECTRON ME Cell. In general, we suggest that two clamps be used on each TECTRON ME Cell whenever possible

Step 1

Note: UFSc does not recommend using one piece metal clamps. Read, understand, and follow “TECTRON ME Cell Installation” instructions.

Step 2

If installing a two piece clamp, place the TECTRON ME Cell in the desired location and insert one piece of the clamp into the strut channel located on the side of the tank. Continue to hold the first piece of the clamp and insert the second piece of the clamp into the strut channel. The two pieces should be around the TECTRON ME Cell neck (2” clamp) or Bulkhead Fitting and Collar (3-1/8”). Insert the included hardware into the clamp and use the required tools to tighten. Repeat to install the second clamp. DO NOT over tighten as this may cause damage to the TECTRON ME Cell. (See drawing)
