General

This guard kit is not a product normally produced and sold by UFS Corporation. The purpose of this guard kit is to prevent the electrode from coming in contact with the parts being painted causing an electrical short. This guard kit has been designed so the electrode will not need to be removed from the paint tank.

Step 1

Spread one guard piece at the seam and place on the electrode. Slide the guard over one end of the collar and secure with one 710 mm long wire tie.

Step 2

Insert one half of a collar set under the end of the guard. Be sure to insert the half collar only half way.

Step 3

Insert one 150 mm long wire tie through the guard, through the hole in the collar, and curl back up through the guard, and secure. This will hold the collar in place.

Step 4

Repeat step 3 with the remaining half collar. Continue to install the guard until the electrode is completely guarded.

Step 5

Use the 150 mm long wire ties to help secure the seam together by installing the wire ties at the seam about every 12 inches.
