Safety

Think and act in a safe manner. Always disconnect power and use a lockout before you work on the E-coat system, or any of the related subsystems. Observe any confined space conditions. Use the appropriate safety equipment and clothing for the task. Please carefully read all the instructions listed below to familiarize yourself with the project before attempting to perform any of the work.

These instructions apply for those TECTRON Roof Cells that have vertical PVC legs on either end and are attached to the Membrane Shell with bolt flanges.

Step 1

Find the right PVC legs for its correct corresponding elbow. There is match marks on the PVC leg and the elbow.

Step 2

Apply PVC primer on OD of 2” S80 PVC and ID of 90 degree elbow. Repeat this application procedure for adequate coverage.

Step 3

Add an application of PVC cement. Line up match marks on pipe and elbow/flange assembly and insert tightly.

Step 4

Repeat above procedure for other leg (if 2 support necks are used) being sure to pull electrical connection and anolyte tubing through respective necks.

Step 5

Ensure match marks on housing are facing up (towards top of E-Coat tank when installed in E-Coat tank) and match bolt patterns on flange/elbow assemblies.

Step 6

With EDPM gasket in place, connect flanges together and tighten securely with 3” hardware set in cloth bags.
