Safety

Think and act in a safe manner. Always disconnect power and use a lockout before you work on the E-coat system, or any of the related subsystems. Observe any confined space conditions. Use the appropriate safety equipment and clothing for the task. Please carefully read all the instructions listed below to familiarize yourself with the project before attempting to perform any of the work.

General

The installation date is critical for trouble-shooting as it tells how long the equipment has been working. This is very helpful when trying to determine the age and likely condition of the Membrane Shell portion of the Anode Cell. UFS Corporation makes it very easy to record this date. On the Product ID label are numbers 1 through 12 for the Month and then the last two digits of the Year.

The method to mark the installation date is easy with a Sharpie black permeate marker. Just make a circle over the Month the Cell was installed, then move over and do the same for the Year. If your Cell is a Low Profile or Closed Top style, then you may want to place some clear scotch tape over the TECTRON™ Cell Product Label to keep it readable (i.e. remove the tape when you want to see the installation date).
